NFL appoints Steve Furniss as Business Development Director

At North Farm Livestock, we are proud to be family-owned and family-run. We know that many of the partners we work with appreciate this too. Alongside this, and our commitment to being forward-thinking and innovative, the continued success of our business has been built on having a fantastic wider team. Our team's commitment to our values & standards is what drives North Farm Livestock forwards and has led to us being the UK's leading free-range pork producer.

Our business has grown significantly in the past twelve months. In 2025 alone, we have increased our number of free-range farms by over 50%. As our business continues to grow at pace, it is vital that our team grows with it.

With this, we would like to welcome Steve Furniss to North Farm Livestock as Business Development Director. Steve has been a trusted friend and advisor to our business for many years and we are delighted to have him join us at such an exciting time for our business. Steve's experience leading Pig Improvement Company (PIC) - Europe in the UK, his deep knowledge of the pig sector and his infectious optimism & zeal will be huge assets as North Farm Livestock continues to evolve and grow.

Steve, who joins NFL at the start of October, said: “This is a role and direction that truly excites me. North Farm Livestock boasts many strengths and holds immense potential for the future. I am eager to contribute by supporting Michael, Ian, Matthew, Todd and their staff in realising these new opportunities and developing the business”.
