Michael Baker
With forty years’ experience in pig production, Michael has led the production operation at North Farm Livestock for over twenty years. Michael’s commitment to high-welfare standards and innovation remain core to what we do as does his desire to build long-term, trusting relationships with landowners.
Michael’s focus is on ensuring that our stock keeping standards remain market-leading and that we are doing right by the pigs, the land and the landowner.
Ian Baker
Ian worked in Barclays’ agricultural division for over thirty years before joining North Farm Livestock to oversee its financial strategy. Having spent his last seven years at Barclays as the Head of Agri-Food & Landed Estates, Ian has a broad and deep knowledge of the agricultural sector and how to deliver commercial success.
Ian is responsible for financial oversight at North Farm Livestock, setting budgets and shaping our financial strategy.
Matthew Wilton-Baker
Matthew’s background in engineering has shaped not only a great eye for detail but a determination to greet challenges with clear focus and swift execution.
Matthew spent 16 years working as a Mechatronics Engineer on the railway before joining North Farm Livestock. Today, Matthew manages procurement across the business and leads our transition into sustainable infrastructure across our farms. Matthew is also responsible for the oversight of our fleet of road & agricultural vehicles and works with our staff and partners to drive performance standards forwards.
Steve Furniss
Steve joined North Farm Livestock as Business Development Director after two decades leading PIC in the UK. Joining the business to support its growth and evolution, Steve brings enormous commercial and sector-specific experience.
Todd Baker
Todd joined North Farm Livestock after almost a decade as a leader in inner-city schools in both London & Norwich. With experience of working across a range of sectors, Todd is responsible for HR, overseeing the training & development of our teams and compliance & communications across the business.
Todd is also leading our work on transitioning towards regenerative farming methods. We are working with our supply chain and other growers & farmers to be standard bearers in this area.
Ashley Hewitt
Ashley joined North Farm Livestock at just seventeen years old and has grown with the business to oversee our free-range operation as our Finishing Director.
Responsible for maintaining exceptional welfare standards across our free-range farms and the operational leadership of our Free-Range & Logistics teams, Ashley brings his experience with free-range stock to ensure performance across our farms is consistently strong.
